I sat in on the Beyond 1% presentation at the Tactical Conference. Many people own guns and many of them are doing it to be prepared for self defense and home defense but most of those gun owners do not have the skills to use the gun and therefore are not adequately armed. I also see a large number of folks come to Parabellum to practice and some even regularly, and they do not know essential skills and information in order to practice correctly and improvement is therefore non-existent. One or two quality training sessions and they would at least know what they don't know and how to practice to improve their skills. The local community would be much safer with more, properly armed people in it. But it is easier just to buy a gun and put it in the sock drawer and talk about it socially.
