Kimber Solo- Local Shops?

I was just wondering if anyone had recently seen a Kimber Solo in Indianapolis area shops? I just got off the phone with Whittaker's and they did not have any in, so it makes me think they are pretty tough to come by. Whittakers did have the best price I had seen which was $599 for the all stainless. May just have to order one and sit back and wait.

They have been very tough to come by. I was told by one store (unconfirmed rumor) that there were issues with the first runs and Kimber is retooling those issues before doing another major release. I would like to see one.

Same in NW Indiana also

The same problem with the Solo in NW Indiana. I was very interested in the model. The conclusion I have come to, do to my reaseach is that were major problems with the earlier release of the gun. I believe you are correct - the gun is going under major redesign and fabrication. I have nothing to back this up - but, my own reading on the internet.
