Just curious about the cost of 7 1/2 lead shot? Last time I bought any was back in the 70's I bet it is doubled since then.I seen some at the Big R store in Marion its was over 40 dollars I think I can buy Federal Target loads on sale cheaper than I can reload.

I've actually stopped reloading shotgun shells this year. I'm going to shoot through my mountain of reloads, and hopefully before I'm done lead prices will have come back down.

I'm setting on 6 bags of shot. Thats 400 rounds per 25lb. at 1oz loads. I think they cost me 28 dollars a bag through my gun club. We order from CAC in PA. when we order our birds. That way we get a price break.:patriot:

Yeah.. anywhere you look its going to be roughly $2 a lbs as far as I have ever seen. The best I have seen for prices, isn't really all that great, but its 50 lbs for 105 and free shipping. You're almost better off just buying the shells.

Last time I bought shot I paid $14/bag for Remington Magnum shot at the grand. I bought 1 ton of it and still have about 1/4 of that left. I don't shoot trap much anymore. I've thought about selling it several times...

I'm looking for 10 lbs for loading weighted dummy rounds, but like you all, don't feel like paying 42 dollars for 25 lbs.

May end up with sand filled dummy rounds. :)
