I did a lot of research, and listened to the opinions of several INGO members, before choosing the CM9. Since I bought it, I have been very happy with it, carry it most days, and bought a spare, just in case. I do recommend one upgrade. For 17.99 you can put on the rubber type Talon grips. Love 'em.

It's older more expensive brother, the PM9 is my nearly constant companion, and I guarantee you I don't leave home without it! CM9 has proven to be a lower cost, just as good pistol.

I recently picked up a CM9 myself. Great EDC gun. My only issue so far is mine has a looooong trigger pull. Its almost like I pull the trigger half way before it hits the wall and grabs. Is this normal for Kahrs? Maybe it will get better once I get more rounds through it and it is fully broke in.

The trigger action is a trademark feature of Kahr. All Kahrs have the same long, smooth, double action pull. It is very different from Glock. Not better or worse, just different. Some like it and some don't.

The long smooth trigger is normal. I swapped my regular PM9 for the model with the external safety. The reason is the current model with the safety has an enhanced trigger which is short and smooth. I would compare the trigger to a Springfield XDS except smoother.

Below are the notes from the Kahr site about the enhanced trigger in case you are interested.

    Enhanced Trigger
Kahr’s new enhanced trigger will be featured on Kahr models with external safeties and loaded chamber indicators. The enhanced trigger has a shorter length of pull compared to the Kahr standard trigger. The new enhanced trigger has a 1/4” length of pull with an approximate 7.5 lb. trigger pull weight compared to a 3/8” length of pull for the standard trigger. The trigger pull weight for the enhanced trigger is the same as the standard trigger, approximately 7.5 lb.

I agree that the trigger pull is long, but both mine seem to be very smooth, soft and even throughout the travel. I typically prefer SA triggers, but it did not take any time to get used to the trigger on the Kahr, for me. Accuracy, reliability, low recoil and comfort while shooting and while carrying are all factors of why I like it so much.

You cannot go wrong with a Kahr. My PM9 is the most accurate compact semi-auto I have ever shot. I sold my Glock after I fell in love with my Kahr. The PM9 is a lot more expensive, but is a better choice if you don't mind spending the extra money.

Yep I love mine as well. It is in my pocket at work and at home. I still carry a G23 when I am out and about, but there are times when I have to conceal extra well and I will have the CM9 on me for those days.

I had the chance to try one out. I can't remember if it was the CM9 or PM9.

I remember not really liking how thin it was. I'm sure if I was able to shoot more, I'd have gotten use to it.

I have a cw9, just a tad bigger. 1K club with it, not a single failure of any kind. Has been as perfect as any gun. I also have the talon grips. Put trijicon night sights, p9 guide rod, p9 slide stop and the best mod is the Wolff striker spring upgrade. Drops at least a pound off the trigger pull.

Nice pics. This is the pistol I'm trying to talk a friend into. He liked my CM9, but wasn't fond of the short handle. I think the CW9 would be perfect for him. And gunbroker is loaded with them. Several are less than $350. The gun is well worth it. We just have to find a good use for his Jimeniz, or whatever that thing is called he thought was a pistol. Someone recommended using it as a boat anchor.

I used to daily carry a S&W 642 with Crimson Trace laser. For the past couple of years, it has been the Kahr CM9. I still had to have the laser.

I just ran another 150 rounds through my CM9 and I absolutely love this gun. It is my EDC and I am really glad I finally picked one up. Had 1 FTF but it was a short bastard looking round when I loaded, probably should have just pitched it. Anyhow the other 149 went flawless.

I can't recommend my PM9 highly enough, and have probably put 600 rounds through it without a hitch. IF you want a small, single stack 9mm, and would rather have a long, buttery smooth trigger than a shorter trigger pull with a safety, you can't go wrong with the PM / CM 9. NOTE: The mainspring on the Kahr's is very stiff, and I've read many reviews stating that you should rack the slide 500 times before ever firing the gun. I did this and haven't had any problems.
