Linux Uber Allen- tablet edition

Today is prime day and one of the deals is a 7" Amazon Fire tablet for $40. I picked one up with the intent to do a full Linux install. I'll document the process here if it works.

I side loaded the google play store so I could put google chrome and other apps on it that arent in the app store. So far so good. I couldnt find any limitations.

Though Im still looking for a good terminal emulator that doesnt cost an arm and a leg to do serial CLI work. The only one I found worth beans costs like $100year to license.

Props for anyone doing CLI and trying to put it on a tablet!

I occasionally have to go hands-on on my switches, and would rather carry a tablet to connect to the console instead of lugging a laptop around. I'm doing troubleshooting and tweaks, not hammering out configs.

Though with a good bluetooth keyboard, it would be VERY doable.
