Please hear me out...I know I'm not crazy.

I KNOW that I've recently run across a knife that had 1 or 2 little tritium vials in it...for decoration.

One of them was placed in the "bend" of the pocket clip - near the screws.

I think that I may have stumbled upon the maker's link via the Blade '14 or '15 web pages, though I'm leaning towards '14 because I *think* I was perusing the award winners.

They were "skinny" knives; IE not big beefy blades like Medford. Almost like a Kershaw Leek in size - but with a frame lock.

They really caught my eye as a rather attractive little knife. Was in the $200-250 range.

Anyone have ANY idea what I'm talking about?

I've tried googling knives with tritium ... and can't get anything recent at all.

Thanks in advance for your help.

At one time or another, both Microtech and Strider have used tritium in their thumb studs (Strider) and firing button (Microtech), but these models will be way out of your $200 -$250 price range. The only other company I know of is Cammenga Beta Blades which I have no knowledge about their overall quality or the materials they use in their knives.

Some older DDR and Microtech stuff had come up in my Google searches.

And the Cammenga stuff has shown up as well. But it seems like...junk.

Custom Knife Factory out of Russia had a model very much like you are describing for around $200-300. Sadly the model was discontinued but then again I have heard rumblings about their shoddy QC..... Its called a Daboia. I do not have a knife addiction!!!!!!

I'm almost positive this is what I saw! The little tritium vial near the upper part of the pocket clip is what I remembered seeing.

so I guess they're not "new"...

    Off to Google!

... Aaaaaaand I can't even come close to affording any of those. :-(

Beautiful stuff, though. Their Decepticon-1 and -2 knives are quite fetching.
