Looking for a reliable HD shotgun for around $150

My dad has given me the project of finding him a shotgun. He's never owned a gun before and I've finally convinced him that he needs SOMETHING for home defense. He said he only wants to spend $150. I realize that doesn't get me anything fancy, but then again, id like to keep it simple anyway. I live in the indy area and my parents love around the south bend area if anyone could meet. Let me know what you've got.

I have a Model 488 Topper H&R 12 ga. Single shot. W/ chrome reciever. In really fair condition. I will also throw in 20 rds of 00 buck 2 3/4" 12 ga. shells!!! and I Live in Rochester.
