    I still think for the money that guns cost now compared to when I started buying hand guns back in the 80"s ,the Rock Island 45 shoots great for what they cost. I love the kimbers and the colts but for way less than half the cost Rock Islands are a good buy and shoot good .

    I've heard a lot of good things about the RIA guns.

    I have to put in a plug for the .45 that I own, though. Taurus 24/7, zero malfunctions so far. I know its not a "flashy" gun, and its definitely not a 1911 pattern, but I can't argue with the size, effectiveness, and 12 round capacity.
