Looking to do a ride along ...Valpo area.

Sooo.. yep I'm in the Valpo area and interested in doing a ride along with any LEO willing to have me along. I think it would be a neat experience, and would be interested in Valpo or any of the surrounding areas/cities..(hobart, chesterton, portage, ..ect) So if there are any LEOs out there that want a sidekick for a day.. let me know. I rode with Valpo PD earlier this year as part of the Citizens Police Academy they put on every year. I'm not sure if they typically take riders outside of the program, but I'd advise you contact Sgt. Michael Grennes at 219-462-2135 and inquire. He is the PIO/Community Relations officer and is a good guy, he should be able to help you out if they're open to a rider.

I rode with a great younger officer who really seemed to enjoy having me along and answering my questions. We made a lot of contact in the two hours I was out and I learned a great deal from this particular officer. He's definitely one of the good ones.
