That's no guarantee that driving below the speed limit won't result in a speeding ticket.


When I moved out of Chicago, I was driving the rented moving truck. That truck had a speed governor installed preventing the vehicle from going any faster than 63 mph (speed limit was 65). I was getting passed like I was standing still the whole drive down I-65.

I was pulled over and the officer said he clocked me on radar at 79 mph, and wrote me out a nice ticket.

I beat it, but it cost me substantially more to do so than it would have cost me to pay it.

When I first read the OP it made me think of the Andy Griffith episode where Barney gets the motorcycle with sidecar to do mounted patrol on the highway

If that's your thing, it's ok by me. It's even ok if you choose to do so in the middle lane, I can pass you just as easily in the right lane.
