    Meister, Thanks for clearing that up, does the little bit of mineral spirits keep the dust down? I think if I try a tiny bit of spirits, I will move my tumbler, as it now sits right next to the furnace and hot water heater.

    Most definitely. Speeds up clean time as well. Only takes a few ounces for a medium size case cleaner.

    Not a definitive test, but I tried 4 oz. of mineral spirits in a fresh batch of cc media in a large Dillon tumbler with a kitchen colander of .223 brass. Tumbled for 1 hour and I considered it cleaner than what untreated media would have produced.
    Added my normal few dollops of liquid rubbing compound and another colander of brass and in 15 minutes the brass was as clean as the other brass that took an hour. I considered it to be cleaner than what rubbing compound alone would have produced in that same amount of time.

    Initial conclusion is that a combination of the two is better than either independently.
