Despite their graphic stating that the VG2 will fit all M&P models...

Unless it's a M&P Shield.

Their argument "But blame S&W because the M&P Shield is marketed as such, and not a part of the M&P line seems kind of disingenuous and a back-pedal from their advertising.

Just simply alter the advertising a bit to exclude the M&P Shield.

I mean, how dare someone think that a VG2 for M&P PISTOLS not fit the M&P Shield.

Did you expect it to fit these too?

Guys, the Shield is a completely different pistol than Smith's well established "M&P" line of semi automatic handguns. They use the "M&P" logo for everything from 22 rifles to 8" revolvers. It is confusing, yes. It is impossible to have a part that fits snugly on the double stack M&P's that will also fit snugly on the much smaller Shield.

When you meet someone new and ask them what kind of gun they own or shoot and they respond "M&P," which pistol pops into your mind? Those are the guns this M&P VG2 fits(77 different models, to be exact. All under the "M&P" product name).
