I have a handful of molded plastic tool cases. Some of them are larger and could be useful if you cut out the interior plastic and replace it with foam.
I also have two metal boxes. The one on top measures 9x24x6. The bottom one measures 9x12x6 (W/L/H). These are not waterproof/tight (no provision for a seal), but latches and hardware are all functional. There is some rust, but the boxes appear to be solid. A little time and paint would make these look nice again.
