I decided that suppressed SBR's were awesome in march of last year and decided i wanted one in 9mm flavor. Completed on 4-26-13 !!!!

Parts:

Stripped upper from PSA $49.99
Pistol build kit from PSA $99.99
Charging handle, and trap door from Orion's $20?
CMMG ramped 9mm bolt $149.99
ADCO 5" 1/2x28 barrel $166
YHM stipped lower from ACME sports $129
Samson 7" evolution rail $160
4 Metalform mags post panic $120
Hahn bottom load mag block $200
Barrel nut form gun show $6
DPMS flash hider $20
Single point sling from gun show $40
Magpul MBUS $99

Grand total so far: $1,259.97 more than i was planning on for sure!!

Next step when funds allow will be my SBR stamp followed by a Guardian from huntertown.

So then of course there's no 5" barrel hiding under that 7" rail...because having that barrel on that upper would be illegal without a stamp. Do I have that right?

Thats a specialized buffer tube that wont allow a stock. It qualifies as a pistol right now.

Careful, that AFG could qualify it as stands to a SBR.

Is that a can on there or some kind of muzzle device?

I just put a dpms flash hider on mine for now and it stops about a half inch before the end of the rail. I was thinking about contacting madmacs precision about a custom break that would get me just past the rail or a fake can for cosmetic purposes.

Building it as a pistol is the way to go, I received my stamp the end of January. While it wasnt easy to shoot with the pistol buffer it still was fun. This was my first build as well.

Vertical grips are no go, but AFGs are apparently okay without going to AOW status.

It is a fake can. It's just there to get out past the hand guard until I can put a real one on there.

Updated original post with price total and new pic.

Spikes mag block was on eternal backorder with delta3tactical so i cancelled and ordered a hahn from brownells.

Installation was cake and after hand cycling a few rounds i proceeded to fire 50 flawless rounds.

Not as bad to shoot with the pistol tube as i thought and man is this thing fun!!!!
