My saiga puts dents in the brass as it ejects, I believe from the casing hitting the charging handle. Will a resizing die remove these dents or are the casings scrap? Thank you for your time.

Your pics are not showing up for me soo..
Is the dent in the neck or the body?
if in the neck, yes resizing will remove them
If in the body, resizeing might remove some of it, If it doesn't when you shoot it it will expand it back out in the chamber. I load and shoot my dented brass all the time it will be fine.

I posted a link to the pics, the dents are in the body. So there isn't any issue with the dented brass? Other than more metal fatigue from expanding in the chamber?

Smooth dents usually create no problems. I have seen when the dents are actually sharp creased notches where brass is actually scraped away. The cases will often split at the crease line, so I throw those away.

I had one in 7.62X39 and reloaded them just fine- they do bang them up pretty good. I don't know how true it is but I read somewhere that the Russians did that on purpose with the siaga's so the fired cases could be distinguished from an AK if it were used in a crime. Could be urban myth for all I know- but it kinda makes sense.

I have read that putting some foam on the ejection part of the dust cover can prevent this.

I haven't had my Saiga .223 too long, but is it possible the brass is getting dented because of the distance they're getting thrown? I made a brass deflector which drops the expended casing pretty much at my feet and the cases don't appear to be dented.
