    Happened to hit the window just before it closed on Saturday on the AIM Surplus deal that pops up every couple months. Spikes ML upper, MOE HG, ST-T2 buffer, $499 shipped;

    Spikes Tactical 16" Mid-Length 5.56/.223 Upper Receiver

    I bought it for this;

    A2 stock from my other AR that now has a MOE stock.
    DS Arms ZM4 stripped lower $99 from Applied Ballisistics
    RRA LPK $65-- Indy 1500
    CAA grip $15-- Indy 1500
    YHM rear sight $80-- Indy 1500

    So, for about $760;

    My first 'build'

    Hopefully, I'll get to the range this weekend. The lower tested fine on my other upper. :D Most likely, there will be a Red dot sight added in the near future.

    Looks great! That middy deal from AIM is tough to beat!

    I'd recommend using the ST-T2 buffer-- its does make a difference.

    Ummmm, I'm not sure how well that is going to work in an A2 stock...

    Best,

    Joe

    Hey, it happens to the best of us.

    BTW, if OP is looking to get rid of the t2 since it won't work in an A2 stock, PM me as I am looking for one.

    Best,

    Joe

    This is news to me. Can someone tell me why the T2 buffer won't work? I still have the original buffer. Is that the one I should use?

    Thanks.

    The ST-T2 buffer is for a carbine-length buffer tube-- you have a rifle-length tube with your A2 stock.

    So you will want to use the one that came with the stock. :yesway:
