    Between corn and soybean fields.
Christmas in 2014 I was gifted this survival bag: Echo-Sigma Runner - Echo-Sigma Emergency Systems and although it's small, it's pretty handy and packs a lot of items. I've updated it with some new stuff I got for Christmas in 2015 and it is currently as shown below.

The knife is an Ontario Knife Company
ASEK-AircrewTM Survival Egress Knife... This was a gift to me for Christmas 2015 and should outlive me. Has a lifetime warranty, made in the USA and seems quite heavy duty. This can be found on Amazon here: Robot Check Glass breaker, cord cutter and heavy duty knife. Can't beat it.

The solar panel is just a
3.5W foldable charger that has an attatched 2,000mAh waterproof LiPo battery on the back of it. It folds down and stays in the bag and connects to the bag with 3 of the clip hooks like the one seen in the photo. (The other two are in use, just can't see them). I can charge my Galaxy S3 phone on this and I can getdays on a single charge with conservative use of my phone. The panel came with a hiking backpack I was also gifted this year for Christmas... but I'm a fan of the panel more than the bag it came with. I may look into a better/larger/more powerful portable panel for use in my bug out / camping bag and setup but it'll do for now.

Inside the bag, there is the following:

    • 1 HCB Pack by Condor Outdoor
    • 1 Modular MOLLE Compatible Utility Pouch by Condor Outdoor
    • 1 Echo-Sigma Micro Provision Pack

      • 6 Food Ration Bars (400 Calories each and nutritionally fortified)
      • 1 Liter of 5 Year Storage Pure Drinking Water
      • No storage requirements

We use both AquaBlox and Mainstay brand drinking water products depending upon availability. Pack contents may differ from what is shown.
    • 1 Echo-Sigma Compact Survival Kit

      • 1 Compass
      • 1 Emergency Whistle
      • 1 Emergency Blanket by Coghlan's
      • 1 BIC Brand Butane Disposable Lighter
      • 1 Magnesium Fire Starter with Flint Striker
      • 40 Waterproof Matches by Coghlan's
      • 1 Live Fire Sport Emergency Fire Starter
      • 50 Inches of Duct Tape
      • 1 Bottle of Water Purification Tablets by Coghlan's
      • 2 Chemical Light Sticks by Coghlan's
      • 2 BIC Brand Ball Point Pens
      • 1 Pad of Paper
      • 1 Set of Earplugs
    • 1 Echo-Sigma Compact First Aid Kit

      • 1 4" scissors
      • 1 3" tweezers
      • 1 first aid card
      • 20 plastic bandages
      • 12 alcohol swabs
      • 10 wet wipes
      • 10 antiseptic swabs
      • 3 sting relief swabs
      • 4 pain relief tablets
      • 2 3"x3" sterile gauze pads
      • 1 2"x5yd. gauze roll
      • 1 5"x9" sterile abdominal dressing
      • 1 0.5"x2.5yd. roll of tape
      • 1 disposable CPR faceshield
      • Access to 14 exclusive online training videos
    • 1 Emergency Poncho
    • 1 Pair Work Gloves
    • 2 N95 Rated Respirator Masks
    • 1 Set of Protective Goggles
    • 2 Hand Warmers by Coghlan's

I'm going to look for a MOLLE holster for a Baofeng handheld radio and for a couple extra Glock or AR magazines...

I took the first-aid kit out of the inside of the bag and attatched it to the exterior which leaves me room inside for some other items. Unsure of what all to stuff in that space, but I could fit a pair or two of clean socks in it, some ammo, fire kindling, more food, a water purifier straw, and maybe some small camp cookware (small pot or cup).

This kit/bag is more or less part 1 of 2 of a larger bug out bag that includes all my camping gear as well but I don't feel like dragging that out just yet. I'll probably show that one off once it gets warmer and I can actually go outside and spread it all out on the ground since it has my tent, portable camp stove and cookware, sleeping bag, rope, axe, and tons of other random stuff and a larger first aid kit :)

Have you depleted the cell and charged it back to full with the panel? If so what was the charge time under what kind of light?

I typically hang a panel similarly, with the cell is stashed inside the pack/tent. Always looking for something faster.
