I may start building a riprap 3d printer (http://reprap.org/) starting next month. With it, I can print over 50% of the parts needed to build a new one.

If/when I start working on it I'll start a 3d printer thread.


But back on topic, it's awesome they're making use of a 3d printer on the ISS.
