    To All,

I have been invited to present at an IPFW class regarding the 2A as it applies to opposing government tyranny.

We will not be covering the self defense issue. As I now understand it the professor is teaching a class on the Bill of Rights and how they are seen to help preserve liberty.

Today there are arguments that a citizen with a gun cannot stop a soldier in a tank.

I will respectfully disagree with that thought process during class. However, I have been asked to propose some light reading for the students regarding how an armed citizenry can fight tyranny.

Any links or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Doug

'Interesting' thought, since a bunch of 'citizens with guns' (ISIS / ISIL) in Iraq just took over a bunch of tanks FROM "soldiers in a tank". Oh, and about half a billion dollars to go with 'em. Need money for 'maintenance', I guess.

Then, of course there's the war between Afghan and Russia. And that was just a 'bunch of citizens with guns vs. soldiers in tanks'. Didn't turn out too well for Russia, eh? There's other examples as well.

Just like, "A bunch of rubes and farmers will NEVER defeat the British Army with all their military might". I believe that one is now known as the "American Revolution".

It's a hollow argument, it's always been a hollow argument, and it's always going to be a hollow argument.

Department of Homeland Security has some good information for Active Shooter and disasters. As a last resort, they teach/preach to fight. Lt Col David Grossman's website killology.com also has lots of material for parents and teachers. Little heavy but he has written four books too.
