I just got my first single action I have wanted since I was a kid watching those good old john Wayne movies. Got the holster too and love shooting it. Interested in getting into the cowbow action shooting. I have been shooting since I was five but never competition so I am clueless on how it works what I need and how to get started. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Depending on where you are in the world a few quick searches for shooting ranges and clubs in your area will give you a great start. Email a few of the match directors and let them know you are new. Once they know you are interested you'll be swamped with invites! any club worth their salt will bent over backward to bring a new shooter in to their ranks!

Once you do get a chance to put your new equipment to the test you need to let us know!
