Anyone have any leads on finding a good price or coupon or something for

    off-set-sm.jpg

    Off-Set Scout Mount
    Model# SM-OCG
    Flashlight Widths: 1.010 - 1.040
    Retail Price: $59.95

I am going to need TWO of them. Ouch. Salty.

So yeah, anyway I can cut down on the cost of 120 dollars worth of flashlight mounts, that would be good :)

Also, and really what I am mainly looking for is, does anyone have experiance with this particular mount? Anything I should be aware of? I also cant seem to find its weight listed anywhere.

    Thanks in advance.

The design of Vltor is such that it tightens to the rail with the same mechanism that it uses to tighten to the light. This means that the rail, the mount, and the light must all be perfectly to spec. I have seen many loose lights in these. YMMV

Huh now that is a concern.

I guess I had better buy one, and see if it works, and then buy the other.

yeah both are going on the same gun, one on either side of the FSP. One very bright flashlight for long distance 'yote spotting, and one dim with a red filter for getting to the callin spot or moving around.

I dont think the Larue will work out, thats kind of a lot of weight on one side of the gun. I would rather it be balanced.

Not to mention, with the two individual mount thing, I can pop one off and put it on the shotgun, or another rifle.
