Couple questions for a new AR15 build. I would prefer the caliber to work on the AR15 system, I don't want the size of the AR10. At the moment I plan on chambering this build in 6.5 Grendel, unless someone can convince me otherwise.
I'm going to stick with a 18" barrel and go along the lines of a MK12 style rifle. Shorter so it can be effective in CQ but also have knockdown power to reach out at 600+ meters and still have some punch at that range.
The lack of magazines worries me though are they really that unreliable or are better ones popping up?
Lastly is there a reason the brass for this cartridge is so high compared to EVERYTHING else.... ? I reload but the cost of the brass is insane.
