I don't really care too much about the zone changes that they are proposing but the potential season split looks good for the north zone but the central zone is kind of getting screwed out of the January season.

Agreed on the central Zone getting screwed. I'm glad they are getting the chance to revise the south/Ohio river zone. But I really don't think the splits are that great.

My question is how does this affect goose seasons?

I never understood the states method of establishing the seasons, I always who ever was in charge of that was from southern zone, cause north zone tends to go out before we get birds.

I have had some of the best hunts the last week of the North Zone season. Most of the time we shoot local ducks and never see migrators. For the select few that love hunting Divers on Lake Michigan they get a week at best to shoot them once the weather gets cold. I would like to see a February Duck season like they have goose season, and i would be willing to give up some of october season for it!
