Picked up a new Springfield XD sub compact today. I love the way it feels in my hand and shoots. 9mm

It came with a speed loader but what is that springloaded button for?

Hats off to Chris at Midwest Gun Exchange.

    XD with big brother Beretta.

The speedloader will attach to the "rail" on the mag carrer, the button releases it. Kinda dumb if you ask me, but there it is.

Springloader was a must for my factory mags on xd service 9mm. I would feel kinda weeny if I carried it on the rail though. Maybe a good quality coin purse, but not the loader

Good choice! One of those is my EDC, and my range gun. It's like the Eveready bunny...keeps going and going. (and it feels natural in the hand). Congratulations!

I have the service models and I do like the 9. 45 not so much. Still a good choice and the speedloader deal is kinda goofy.

I love it! Have about 200 rounds through without a problem. My LEO friend says he's going to steal it. I told him to write a couple more tickets and buy his own. :D

I have noticed that loading without the speedloader its hard to get the last 2 rounds in the mag. I imagine it will get better with more loading.

    Thanks Scutter, I'll get one.

Can you register the gun for the warrenty on Springfields web site? I didnt see a link.

Looks awesome. I love my XD full size 9mm.

The Beretta isn''t bad either. What a duo...congrats.

I really like the Beretta. The muzzle flip on the XD isnt much more than the bigger beretta.
