LOL, I was reading news stories last night all over the web about this and every single story claims his thumb was ripped up because of "unexpected recoil" from a handgun. "Unexpected recoil"? Who knew? Wanna bet he was holding his Glock sideways with his thumb behind the slide? I have seen so many people on ranges holding their gun with their thumb(s) directly behind the slide and we used to always scream "STOP!" at them but finally just gave up and watched the inevitable happen. But I suppose if it was "unexpected" then it was just the gun's fault and was unavoidable.

Even if he has Michael Jordan sized hands* methinks it was a training issue. Someone get the man some lessons.

Shooting/throwing hand, so likely riding the slide.

*Michael Jordan has enormous hands, one of the reasons he was such a fantastic player, along with his vision. While Jordan's feet were not oversized (13s), his hands are 12.25" from wrist to middle finger tip.

I know! He was trying to throw the bullet from the gun and he accidently pulled the trigger.

He went shooting without any training or common sense. I want to see him get on a Hyabusa for his first motorcycle ride. (with no training or helmet)

    "Unexpected gun recoil" ?!?!?!???
    What is that?
Did the gun NOT recoil for five rounds and then suddenly recoil on the sixth?
Would it hurt to at least ask someone what terms to use?
One phone call before they print stupidity, that's all I ask.
How I despise the willingly gun ignorant media.
