Nikon M-223 3-12x42 with Nikoplex reticle

Nikon model 8488. I'm thinking of picking up one of these for my Remington 700 VTR in 223, right now I have the Nikon coyote special 4.5-14x40, but I like to shoot at paper as well as hunt with this rifle and it is difficult to put tight groups on paper with the big circle coyote reticle. Does anyone have one of these M-223's on a bolt gun? I think it's more aimed at the ar platform, but don't see why it wouldn't work just as well if not better on the bolt gun.

I personally would rather have a crosshair and quick adjust turret then the BDC reticle. Anyone else feel the same way?

No one has any experience with one of these scopes, I find that hard to believe.
