Again, everyone talks about how many bullets are fired in a gunfight. Why let them know you are there with a warning shot (what I call a missed shot by the way)? Heck, keep down until a clear shot is available that will take them down. Don't just send rounds down range. Both got lucky. Bet the reporter needed new underwear, heck bet both of them did. Poor LEO will probably get killed in the line of duty now, he may never pull his gun again.

"He did nothing Wrong" What? He heard no shots, only had information on a 911 call. Thought a person talking on a cell phone was holding a gun??? What? Sorry, three yr veteran LEO needs some training, fast! Very poor assessment of the scene. Darn lucky he didn't kill anyone, even the rock throwing dork.

"He did nothing wrong," said Sgt. Jeff Edwards of the Des Moines Police Department. "Both sides are fortunate no one was hurt.

Is it just me or is shooting at the wrong person at least marginally wrong?

The photographer was actually performing a skilled trade, so yes, the cop was wrong for shooting at him. Had the officer shot a reporter, well, accidents happen ya know.:D

Glass breaking=sounds just like gunfire, hmm....I don't think he's ever heard gunfire before. And the 911 caller saying "we are being shot at...or something is going on here." Idiot reporters.
