Original Bob Marvel NH Prototype

As a lot of you know I have a pretty nice collection of original Bob Marvel guns! I found this one years ago and the owner finally agreed to sell me it.

It’s documented with paper work from Bob that this is the first of three guns that Bob Designed that Nighthawk modeled their “Bob Marvel” model after. It’s a beautiful pistol with matching holster and mag carrier. I will say, I haven’t had a chance to get into the internals, but the gun with the new carbon fiber grips I tossed on it sure looks “marvelous”!

You already know this but Marvel sure does build one of the best looking 1911s out there. Same league as the Pachmeyer customs , Heirloom Precision and others guns IMHO. But 1911\2011s are functional works of art when done correctly.

Some presentation grade smooth walnut grips. I have em in my “box of grips”, but I prefer grips with texture for shooting.
