A big Hooah to this guy. I'm sure he'd be the first guy to step aside if his disability could put his fellow soldiers lives in danger.

But isn't this the same board that just thrashed an armless and legless girl and her parents for wanting to be a cheerleader?

The price for the M4 is WAY too high, and the price for the leg is probably way too low... but it's the thought that counts. HOOAH.

Last I checked (its been a few years) the block 1 Sopmod kit is quite a bit more then $5,000. Remember, this kit comes with a thermal and night vision scope, several CQB Optics and a can to names a few things. When I was issued a MK18 with the block 1 sopmod kit, I remember signing for all the crap and thinking I would be broke forever if I lost it.

That dude is hardcore. Check out another story on CPT (retired) Chad Flemming from ranger batt. Hardcore MF'er as well.

If a guy did have a prosthetic leg that fit and worked well, he could theoretically be capable of greater endurance since he would have less body to feed with oxygen and other essentials.

Knowing all that Carl Brashear went through, I didn't know if the military had gotten any smarter on the subject.
