I wonder if all the piston rebound springs Adams Arms use are the same tension, maybe it's taking too much force to cycle the piston back than it should (accidentally gave you the wrong poundage spring from a different kit kinda thing)

What kind of forearm are you using?

I don't think they use different springs for different kits. I'm using the forearm supplied with the kit, but it was not installed during the testing for easy access to the pushrod.

Was curious if the barrel nut extended too far out and maybe compressing the rebound spring too much

I am curious though, if you removed the spring on the piston, if it would cycle without it.

Or if the spring was missing a coil or two...

I highly doubt the barrel nut is extended too far, but the premise that the push rod spring is part of the problem is valid. I'll make sure to ask Adam's what the measurements should be.

I got responses from both Adam's and Tubb. Adams said to use a 9mm carbine spring and Tubb said that their lightweight spring is recommended for low pressure rounds like the subsonic .300 blackout.
