Yes-BUT location would be key, maybe some mini shows etc.

    I'm undecided.

How would you come up with the funds to rent a location? You would have to make money somehow. Also, what do you do with the left over funds? Food would be easily provided, just call vendors with trailers and let them know there will be people to buy food.

Also, as edsinger points out and as was pointed out in the other thread, location is key and holding it in Indy every year just really isn't fair, IMHO. Now, I'm not saying one year hold it in Evansville, then Ft. Wayne, whatever, but spread out in towns N,W,S, and E of Indy. Places where it would be easier for those that live on the outskirts of the state to drive to. In this Economy, not everyone has the funds to drive 2-3-4 hours to Indy just for a gun show.

Maybe if the show ends up BIGGER than the 1500, then it would be worth it to keep in centralized in Indy, but not until that point.

    IMHO of course.

The thought of this is to make a once a year show bigger than the 1500, that means over 125,000 sq ft.

Now name 1 place outside of Indianapolis that has 100,000 square feet of pure dedicated unbroken floor space, you'll be hard pressed to find anything over 30,000 that's heated/AC'd. Now stop and think, if the organizers of the 1500 thought that they might be able to put on a show of major size outside of Indy, they would have already done it.

Indy is and will always be the drawing point for the masses, this thread is about thoughts and ideas to kick around, not expense cost or anything like that. It's a "would you be interested in a once a year show thing" and what would you want/expect to see and likes/dislikes.

With gun shows, you can buy guns correct? Are there enough shop owners to participate in the show? Maybe to kick off the idea of an INGO gun show we should do more of a Face to Face show and tell sort of thing. Is there a range in indy or surrounding areas large enough to accommodate a couple of hundred people to come and share equipment and do sort of like a giant swap meet?
