PSA JAKL: Good or bad?

I have recently discovered the JAKL and am looking into purchasing one, but I would like to know how it stacks up against a quality AR. Also, any stand out pros or cons with this gun?

Just my opinion, neat gun. ACR'ish kinda vibe. But it won't do anything better than an AR. So it saves me $1300

I did a big 'ol post on mine not too long ago. It's pretty dope. Gassed for Wolf .223 right now, total pussycat to shoot with all that weight out front.

Still only a few hundreds rounds through it owing to time and priorities. I did also test it with some brass .223 and some XM193, and another click or two on the gas block easily sent the ejection pattern back to where it belongs. Hopefully in the next few months it will get a YHM Turbo T3 with an ASR hub so I can start testing suppressed performance. Ought to be pretty great, with the range of gas tunings available.

At $1300, is it a DD or LWRC competitor minus $200? Eh. Probably not. CHF and chrome lining would have been nice. But all the proprietary stuff adds $$$.

I build mine as an SCAR clone with an 8.5" 300BLK barrel. I run it supressed 99.9% of the time.

I think it is a great gun and I have not had any issues.

Shooting schools, bowling alleys, bars and houses of worship?
I dunno. I have both types and mine have never done anything but ring steel and punch holes in paper. Oh, the occasional sapling gets blasted before impact of my berm.
