I have messed around with balisongs since I was a kid. Found an old one when I moved about a year ago and have taken it back up. Bought a cheap practice one and the one I found is also cheap. Looking to upgrade to a quality balisong.

    Anyone have any suggessitons?

Depending on your budget, Benchmade is known for making quality Balisongs. Caveat: I'm not in to Balisongs and don't own any. This is what I've heard.

I love the Ballisong. With training, it's one of the most versatile knives on the planet, and does things that other knives can't.

Can't go wrong with Benchmade or Microtech.

Take a look a Biegler Bladeworks if you really want to splurge on something nice. The maker is a PTK SMF practitioner, and really makes some nice stuff.

Parker cutlery made some nice vintage balisongs in the eighties. They have “Gypsy” written on the blade and the steel is Japanese.
