Question On Imported Damascus Knives

Are any of the Damascus knives on Ebay (imported from Indian or Pakastan) of decent quality? They sure are inexpensive and some are very nice looking. Know nothing about these knives so input appreciated---

I think you're taking a gamble on quality control. You need to hope that the heat treat and temper were done properly. I ordered two kukris from ghurka and co from Nepal and got two nice knives.
My son bought me a Pakistani Bowie and it's a novelty at best, the edge was ground horribly and it was dull and the tip was effed up and te sheath fell apart.

You get what you pay for no questions asked. most of the steel on cheaper knives is about equivalent to a horribly heat treated juicy fruit wrapper
