Out of my price range, but I'd love to have a Gen II 4.5 -27. I doubt the introduction of the Gen II will cause the Gen IIs to drop in price, though.

Can you imagine that on a 338 Lapua Magnum using 300gr Sierra MatchKing bullets, or a 300 Winchester Magnum using 220gr Sierra Match King bullets?

I bought a Razor 1-6 from them a few weeks ago. I couldn't pass it up for $900.

I would think the gen 2 prices will come down a little more than they already have on the used market (I cant believe how cheap you can pick up the 3-18 right now). The 6-36 will make the higher magnification ranges even more usable than the 4.5-27. Should be nice for the guys reaching out.

However, something to note: No increase in magnification over the gen 2s though. Still a 6x.


This is coming from a guy that has yet to upgrade my gen 1 razor 5-20 that I bought around 2010? Great optics. Might be time for me to grab a gen 2....

Gen 2 prices are going up about $500, Vortex just raised them. So that 3-18 I bought for $1300 and the 4.5-27 for $1800 just made me money….lol
