I have a new Ruger 1022VLEH that I intend to use primarily for steel matches and maybe for bowling pins. My old eyes will do best with a red dot sight.

I'd be interested in first-hand advice on nearly any reflex-type or holographic sight. I have no interest in tubular sights.

    This is what I use:

I put a 2MOA dot module in mine for $50. I'm not sure that was worth it.

I'm looking forward to seeing that rifle Lee.:)

For the ranges and sizes of targets you'll see at pins and steel, choose the biggest dot you can get for whatever scope you choose. A 6-8 MOA dot is probably ideal.

Just curious ... why no interest in tube red dots?
