Need to do away with the black surface finish on the receivers and barrels, furniture and accessories using pastel colors only and refer to them as warm and fuzzy whatever. Or better yet, give them dog/cat names.

You are right that the name will not matter to the antis' agenda, but it would effect the battle for the hearts and minds of those who are needed to support their cause. Could you imagine the talk around the water cooler discussing how the current administration wants to ban your calico kitty or your long haired dachshund.
