    Laserlyte Rear Sight Laser

I have the model for the Springfield Arms XD 45ACP. I have had it for about six weeks. And have been to the range twice in this time. And have fond it to be a useful tool. It has adjustments for windage, and elevation. and once adjusted it seems to stay that way. Evan after several hundred rounds of 230gr loads.
This is a versatile and accurate Red dot laser. Once mounted and adjusted to your sweet spot. It gives accurate repeated reliability. Its great because of its compact design, it doesn’t limit your choice in holsters. So that makes it an excellent choice for your carry weapon. The one draw back, and it’s a major draw back, is the fact that you can not see it outside in day light. At more the 3-5 yards. But then that is why you have sites.
The laser is activated with your thumb. The button is a three position switch. Press once for steady on, press twice for strobe effect, third position is off. This button is located on the top left side of the slide. On the top right side is the laser module. Between the two parts, is a standard white outlined boxed U shaped rear sight.
This unit is a bit pricey at the retail level at $199.99 list. But the good news is you can find it readily available on line and at gun shows. For about $140-150.00.
There are models to fit most popular automatic pistols, with dovetail rear sights.
Depending on your model, and whether or not you have a sight tool like the one pictured on this page. You may need to see your local smithy, to install these sights. They do how ever include instructions and a brass tapping tool, if you wish to attempt the installation yourself.
The laser is powered by 4 tiny button batteries. And the manufacturer includes a total of 8 in the package. 4 will be preloaded in the laser unit, and 4 spare ones in a small bag along with the Allen wrenches for adjustments. On a 1-10 scale I rate it a solid 8. It loses points for being a bit under power, and low daylight visibility. If Laserlyte can find away to correct these issues then they would have a solid 10.:patriot:
