Any thoughts on durability of Rossi 462-02 , .357? Picked one up used, like new, a few years ago, carry in rotation, but not frequently. Quite tight, and smooth at present. My guess was that .357's should be a rarity. I typically use .38, 158 LSWCHP +P.

I HAD the three inch barrel version. It was one of my favorites. I said HAD because there was a recall so I sent it in. Taurus, who had recently taken over Rossi handguns told me that it had a firing pin problem and their gunsmiths said it was unrepairable. They kept it and sent me a different Taurus model to replace it. I really liked that Rossi. I even shot a couple of IDPA matches with it.

Several years ago I had a Rossi 461. It would fire 38 special fine but on 357 ammo, it would lock the cyl up. Guess there was some kind of timing problem.
