Ruger Precision .308

I've been thinking about picking one of these up as well. Originally I thought I wanted the 6.5 version, but I think I'll start with the .308 and get some trigger/barrel time in to learn about proper long distance shooting. When I've shot the barrel out (or get better), I'll swap the barrel for a 6.5 and go that route. Overall, everything I've read or seen has been very positive about the rifle.
