SB433 passes Indiana Senate 44-6. Next on to House Public Policy Committee.

From Bill Dowden, Indiana State Rifle & Pistol Association, Legislative Director:

"Every Hoosier gunowner's friend in the Indiana General Assembly, Senator Jim Tomes,
successfully guided his "short-barrel shotgun" bill through the Senate -- it passed
44-6. It will now go to the House, where it will probably be sent to the Public
Policy Committee, which is chaired by Representative Tom Dermody (R - LaPorte). He
has repeatedly refused to hear any gun bills which are supported by the NRA; however, in
view of the strong support Senator Tomes garnered in the Senate, and with a lot
of members of the House wanting to vote for Tomes' bill, common sense says he should
hear and pass this bill. You all have received Mr. Dermody's contact
information, so you might want to contact his office and urge him to support Senator
    Tomes."

They mentioned it on Fox 59 news this morning, and of course mentioned that some were worried that it would lead to more violence.
Never mentioned you had to be approved and get a $200 tax stamp either.
