what number do/can I call to get an update in regards to my stamp?

All I ever did was make sure check was cashed, mine took right @ 6 months. Didn't want to call & get moved to bottom of the pile.

You aren't going to get moved to the bottom of the pile, and the people answering phones aren't the same ones working on paperwork, so you aren't slowing them down.

Tell them you want to check on the status of a Form 1. You will give them the serial # of the item and your name. They will tell if you if it went pending and you can ask the date. That's about all they can tell you, but it's nice to know if it's in the system. Also, the pending date can help you somewhat calculate when it will be approved, though it is not certain at all.

I sended a Form 4 in on 2/6/13 it went pending on 3/20/13 ATF said it would be about 6 month from that date.

Mine went pending Feb 25 and the nice man at the atf said it will probably get to me in mid August. Kinda makes you wonder what they do in that time frame...

I sent mine on 2/14 and went pending on 4/2. They told me to expect it in October.

The 'sent it in then' and the 'it went pending then' dates are getting farther and farther apart. I just had a LE to dealer transfer that took nearly six weeks to go into Pending status.

Not sure what's going on.

Just got my lastest stamp for an SBR in the mail today:

Purchased: 01/14/13
Sent: 01/29/13
Arrived: 02/01/13
Check cashed: 02/08/13
Pending: 03/11/13
Approved: ??/??/??

Spoke to someone on the phone from ATF and was told to expect my stamp sometime in September.
