Carrying w/o a license is a felony over there, whew.
Article is misleading, he wasn't arrested for "allowing" concealed carry.
It would be one thing if they used their discretion, but simple discretion wasn't used according to the articles.
The Sheriff decided to alter/destroy official documents.

If the sheriff really has the discretion to charge someone or not, and opted not to, then so be it. That pesky concealed carry codicil of the second amendment is so problematic....

    Who arrested him,the Coroner?

It claims the Governor did. I seriously doubt he drove out of Tallahassee for that.

    Atty says this:
His attorney, Jimmy Judkins, released the following statement:
“The records at the jail show exactly what happened in this case and the records speak the truth. The sheriff looked at the facts and said ‘I believe in the second ammendment and we’re not going to charge him.’ That is not misconduct at all. That is within the Sheriff’s perogative whether to charge someone or not.”

The question is going to come down to if the documents that were "destroyed" were protected under something else and if they required a judicial order to be officially expunged.

FYI I moved up here from Florida and MANY Florida Sheriffs and Deputies will not arrest a person for simply carrying without a CWL.

This is a very common practice, especially in rural counties.

"Destroying" official documents on the other hand is not.

Laws that require a license to exercise a Right are blatantly unconstitutional. "A Right restricted is a Right denied". So I have no problem with the Sheriff cutting loose an otherwise law abiding person.
