The rain is cooling the air and the round off as it goes down range and causing the variation. Also, if you are leaving a live round in a hot chamber for a bit before sending it down range it will cause and even bigger variation from the round being heated and then sent into the cold rain. Leaving the chamber open or empty until ready to shoot will take a lot of it out.

I am not bothered by the rain ,the walk back and forth is on the "things the Dr. says I can do"list, my brother has my spotting scope. I wasn't sure if the rain was interfearing with small, light weight bullet .the rifle needs a lighter trigger pull and a few more rounds down the tube .If may laser range finder is correct its 136 yrds happy with the first couple groups . I will try Froglubes' advice tomarrow after physical therapy.may try it both ways to see what the differances are thanks for the info
