So, this afternoon I thought I'd go over to MCFG and try out for the first time some steel I had bought from Bobcat Steel. First, the steel and the stand I bought are incredible!:rockwoot:

Second, I absolutely love the P22 I got only 3 weeks ago. It was one of those fortunate deals that falls in your lap, so I jumped on it. Up until today, I have put probably 400 rounds through it with out the slightest hiccup. CCI, Federal bulk pack, Remington bulk pack, it doesn't matter, it feeds and fires it all.

So, today I was in the left bay running the little thing as hard as I could, trying to induce a misfeed. Never happened. But, on the 9th or 10 mag of rapid fire, the front sight disappeared! I spent the better part of 20 minutes looking for it to no avail. :( The question is, do I just get a replacement factory sight, or should I go ahead and upgrade to something else? If you feel I should upgrade, please give me your suggestions, as I'm open to trying something new.

Oh, if anyone comes across a front sight for a P22 in the left bay, shoot me a pm.

    :D

I just got off the phone with Smith and Wesson(thanks for the suggestions Indy_Guy_77)and they are sending me a new one. But I'm still wondering what would be a good upgrade. :D

That sucks that you lost the front sight! When I bought mine a few years ago, I looked into upgrading the sights, but couldn't find anything. Recently I stumbled upon this: HIVIZ : S&W 99 & WALTHER P99/P22 OVERMOLDED HANDGUN FRONT SIGHTS - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories, Gun Parts and Gunsmithing Tools - BROWNELLS

Looks like it would do a better job of staying in place. I love my P22! HIVIZ : S&W 99 & WALTHER P99/P22 OVERMOLDED HANDGUN FRONT SIGHTS - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories, Gun Parts and Gunsmithing Tools - BROWNELLS
