Slide Engraving

Looking at picking up my Dad a handgun and having something engraved on the slide for Christmas. Any ideas of what type of gun to buy him? Let's keep it below $600 for the gun alone.

Hunts and fishes alot. No military service. Actually my stepdad, my biological father passed when I was young.

I was thinking maybe a Kahr CW9, he already has a Hi-power, 1911, 6'' revolver, etc. Doesn't have but one or two polymer guns and they are fullsize.

a 6" revolver would be great for target shooting or hunting, if he hunts a lot and shots little look at a scandium frame, if he hunts little and shoots a lot go steel or stainless

No he already has a 6'' stainless revolver and a blue snubbie.

I think I want to go with a semi-auto. Trying to find something without a lot of markings already on the slide.

How about a Glock. It's like a big chalk board just waiting for you. Plus if you go with something like a 23 later you can get the 9mm barrel for it as another gift.

I think that Kahr is a great one. They are relatively simple on the slide so it would give you a great surface for some design. Post some pics when you decide.

get him a full size CZ 75B 9mm, he would be surprise to see such one, clone from his Hi-Power Browning pistol design that you said he already owns...
