I got to thinking while packing to travel this weekend... I have no good discrete way to transport the pistols that I want to take with me. I always travel with a rolling suitcase and a backpack and need something that fits neatly into one of them.

I would like to fit 2-3 pistols + a few extra mags. It needs to lock, as my relatives have children. Any ideas?

I'm thinking it should be 2-3 inches thick and maybe 12"x10" so I could arrange a couple pistols inside. My only idea so far is a Pelican laptop case or something similar that could slide into my backpack or sit at the bottom of my suitcase under my clothes.

I have one of these, but don't think it would be large enough to carry what the OP says he wants to transport. Its also quite heavy for its size for transport. I like it, but would not use it for transport.

    Maybe something like this?

    Or this

But both still seem a bit bulky, but definitely more space for storage than the stack on.
