In the course of conversation, he started telling me about a new product hitting the public in a couple of months or so...
A 1911 Micro Mag .22 that's a 9mm with a simple barrel switch (no conversion kit). I likely won't get one, because I have no use for a 9mm at this point, but the concept is very cool! No tools, no other parts...just take the barrel out and pop in the other. NICE.

Right now, it looks like it's all custom...but they are manufacturing it for mass distribution. Otherwise, it looks like you can roll your own with shortened necked .223!
