I’m selling a S&W Model 41 5 in barrel. I don’t shoot Bullseye anymore, so this is just sitting in the safe. Clean, no rust , bore is shiny and rifling is sharp. 5 magazines, all S&W. Serial # puts the date of manufacture in the late 90’s. I got it used. My round count is about 4k. So it has been shot, but not abused. Some blemishes in the bluing on the right side of the slide. I striped it down to parade rest and cleaned out all the dried out oil and gunk. Replaced the recoil, mainspring, extractor, and trigger return springs. Spares for mag disconnect, and slide stop springs and the extractor. It always ran fine with Federal target and Wolf Match. My match ammo was Lapua Pistol. It doesn’t like CCI. Always had a couple of stovepipes when I tried CCI SV or Green Tag. Your mileage may vary.
It’s everything you’ve always heard about the 41. Accurate, balanced, good trigger. An old school precision instrument. I think I’ll just stick with my High Standards. Soft case, no box or manuals.
