Wonder if that rifle in Russia was an SKS...

That's why some AKs have spring loaded firing pins, not free floated. Not sure why more AKs don't do that. I'm far from an AK expert though.

The *exact* thing in the second video happened to me with the absolute worst firearm I have ever owned (an Accu-Tek AT-380 MK II... don't judge). Fortunately I was pointing downrange, and also outdoors (so I wouldn't expect much ricochet or shrapnel if I'd hit the ground close to my feet. When I took it apart I found the firing pin was actually bent, I think from a combination of hot ammo and "gee this gun is poorly designed".

Thanks for sharing. This video and this one I'm posting now show the importance of keeping your gun pointed downrange... and keeping a firm grip on the thing!

Does not appear to be sticky finger however given the gyroglyfics of his make ready and his ammo acrobat stunts in unloading, I would guess he has been inside the weapon with dremel tool enhancements. Just a guess.

I've got my bolt/carrier bagged up ready to send to them for a full rework lol. I'm not taking any chances.
